About Us

The backbone of AgriSolar Ranch is a conglomerate of folks who wear many hats – farmers, landscapers, truck drivers, veterinarians, educators, and business people who work on solar sites and family owned farms in the USA. While Virginia is our base of operations – we serve the entirety of North America and are ready and able to meet your project needs at scale.

Our Mission

The mission at AgriSolar Ranch is to provide economical and sustainable contributions to local communities through agrivoltaics. Localities are faced with the daunting misinterpretation that solar will replace thousands of acres of farmable land within their county. We focus on community involvement by providing agrovoltaic education, local jobs, and strengthening local food ecosystems through vegetation management via agricultural implementation of solar farms now known as agrivoltaics.

Providing agrivoltaic training to farmers, ranchers, and solar developers is at the core of our goals.

Preserving Our Planet

AgriSolar Ranch believes that creating a legacy of sustainability for the future generation is the most valuable gift we can leave behind. By working with us, you directly contribute to a local food source and job economy that is preserving our planet and ensuring a healthier future. Together, let’s sow the seeds of a greener and sustainable world!

Our Founder

AgriSolar Ranch was founded in 2022 by Ryan Romack.

A Texas transplant – his family moved to Virginia in 2009 searching for greener pastures amid the record drought and fracking crisis wreaking havoc throughout Texas. Wasting no time after the move, Buckhorn Creek Farm was founded circa 2009. The 165 acre family farm focused on rotationally grazed Pork, Poultry, various Livestock and Produce. Ryan worked as a operations/sales manager up until 2017 where he set out overseas to earn his CELTA from Cambridge University with the intent on traveling abroad to study multicultural agricultural practices. He settled in Mexico in 2018 while founding and operating a successful ESL school up until returning to the USA in 2021 amid the COVID epidemic.

On his return, Ryan was intent on building a career in agriculture and began leasing farm property around South Central VA under the name Rancho Romack. He earned his Class A CDL, and worked as a CDL instructor for Schneider, while building agricultural relationships with solar developers. In 2022 He met Marcus and Jess Gray at a county board meeting and began working with the Grays under Grays LAMBscaping, serving up sheep to thousands of acres of solar in the Mid-Atlantic. He also worked as a site manager for a Solar Services company using traditional mechanical mowing to maintain Solar Farms.
